Project TARA (Teaching Aids and Resources for Action) is dedicated to providing educational access and support for underserved students with learning disabilities. The initiative aims to do so by developing training resources for educators, creating specialized informative materials, and collaborating with organizations and field experts to amplify community impact.
One of the key efforts under the project is an 8-part training manual for teachers that outlines specific and proven strategies to use when teaching students with learning disabilities. In addition to educator support, the project also includes the circulation of an original children’s book series, designed with engaging visuals and simple language to cater to students with reading difficulties.
To further support its vision, Project TARA also looks forward to organizing expert-led sessions and conducting fundraising campaigns. These will amplify the reach of the initiative and also support ongoing efforts by organizations working in the domain of special needs education. In the long term, the initiative hopes to make a meaningful contribution to the educational landscape in India, forging a future where high-quality and inclusive education is no longer a luxury, but every student’s fundamental right.
